On April 24th, 2024, WIN Water organised the sixth WINCubator meeting in Stockholm. The meeting attracted a diverse crowd, including representatives from utilities, research institutions, industry, investors, and numerous startup companies.
The event was hosted by WIN’s partner Stockholm Vatten och Avfall (SVOA) and their unique premises really added an extra dimension to the program and theme “How to handle and value urban water systems”.
Nine presentations from different perspectives on the topic were given during the morning.

- Increasing pipeline service life with DALI, Fiber Optic based Pipeline monitoring Rick De Visscher, Vigotec
- Digital twins – applications on water treatment and infrastructure: Thor Danielsen, DHI

After lunch the crowd gathered again for two workshops on the topics of ‘Renewal of aging infrastructure‘ and ‘Circular water management‘ that sparked creative discussions.
11 Innovation Companies exhibited during the day at our Mini Fair, showcasing the latest ideas and techniques in the area – a great opportunity to make connections with the attendees at this sold-out event!
The business matchmaking sessions, facilitated by WIN Mingle Map were prepared to give the attendees the best chances for valuable contacts.
The meeting then shifted focus to innovation, with inspiring presentations from Watersprint, Graytec AB, Aprisium, and Evolution Homes —showcasing solutions for the water sector.
