WCEF 2020 Side event – Water-Smart Economy to enable circularity and support recovery plan
The event targets innovators, business and public authorities. It will focus on circularity in the context of the European Green Deal strategy and the Recovery Plan for Europe, the initiative to help repair the economic and social damage brought by the coronavirus pandemic.
The event will feature relevant policy instruments and initiatives aiming at water circularity in the COVID-19 recovery context. The aim is to facilitate discussions and exchanges among policy makers and innovators on concrete steps for fostering the uptake of innovative solutions toward circular economy in the water sector.
Five new large-scale demonstration projects, financed through the Horizon 2020 Call for proposals Building a water-smart economy and society, will pitch their ideas and planned activities:
